Multiple MAgic Jacks
Calling friends family or a love one outside your landline phones coverage area is great but it could get expensive, because your telephone company or telephone provider charges you long distance dialing for every phone call you make outside your landlines coverage area.
Although most of these telephone companies offer long distance dialing plans but still it is expensive when your monthly bill arrives, but there is another easy way or an inexpensive way of calling your friends, family or love ones.
This new way of calling is by using a device called the MagicJack wherein you call your friends, family and love ones for free, yes you heard it right it for free, and this amazing new device can allow you to make phone calls for free by using your computer as its source of power.
The Magicjack also provides an Internet-based telephone service that allows you to call for free in the United States and Canada. The Magicjack is a USB device that holds 2 main functions that allows you to use this device.
These main functions are; the Magicjack has software necessary to place or create an Internet-based telephone call by using the customers own high-speed internet connection, and the electronics technically known as a SLIC or the Subscriber Line Interface that supports conventional landline telephones to be plugged directly into the device.
Having two or multiple Magicjacks can be helpful, but using them at the same time is not allowed since you can only use one Magicjack in one PC or computer, but if your are planning to do so you’ll have to have another PC or computer at home to use two Magicjacks at the same time. Because if you are going to use two MagicJacks there will only be one dialer that will appear on your PC or computer.
But some have claimed that they where able to use two Magicjacks at the same time with one PC or computer or found a way to hack the MagicJacks by using an SIP adapter, making the Magicjack work even when your PC is turned off. But this is against the TOS or Terms of Service and we don’t want to do that.
It just fine if you can’t use two MJ’s at the same time, but what you can actually do is that you either crate two or multiple user profiles for your PC or computer giving each person their own personal dialer wherein they can freely use.

If you have those old Baseless FLAT phones with no base amplifier and they set flat on table to hang up or in a cradle. They seem to add no ringer loss (or at least when you shut the ringer OFF) and i added three of those to total 10 phones on my magicjack, only one of the 3 ringers are on since the phone is in the front door where i can catch a call when locking up leaving or coming home and its ringing.
I have two phones which both say REN is 1.0 but upon plugging it into a specific jack og my house the one shuts down the magicjack as if it is greater REN and the other ugly one does not. Further, in two rooms A and B it shuts down as if too much REN, yet swapped them B and A and then calls come in. (Use your cell phone and keep calling into your magicjack to test all this.)
How do you hook up more phones to 1 Magic Jack?

Making multiple phones work without cost. I found that on average if I had more than 4 phones then outgoing calls are always possible but incoming RINGER calls are dropped or go to voicemail. BUT these are factors that change it. Check that you are using router that is not sharing its channel with a neighbor (take it off of auto) by going to your http:// (IP address) to change it.
Next your order of phones DOES matter (switch two phones in the house and magicjackPLUS may quit working or switch two and you then have changed the amperage so that an additional phone will work (I am up to 7 phones on one magicjackPLUS and I have my second magicjackPLUS listed as the same phone number for MORE phones yet to set up in my basement bedrooms or for me to take traveling with me on my laptop). REN matters because the lowcost little Emerson’s from Menards has a redlight flicker whose REN is 1.8 and many speaker phones may also be 1.8 or 1.4 though I have a LenoxxSound that is 0.9 and its speakerphone is soft (volume option is in the handset only). I had to accept the fact that the function had to be priority over the beauty of which phone décor was for which room.
